I saw a recipe for salmon cakes that I really wanted to make, and then there was a night I didn’t feel like making anything challenging and I remembered I had tuna so I just used that instead. There are a few different recipes for salmon cakes I want to try someday.
- 1 can tuna
- 1 egg
I mixed everything together and formed patties. Make sure to drain it well or the mix may seem watery. Fry over medium heat until golden brown. You don’t have to worry about cooking the tuna so its just until it looks right.
I put mine onto a bed of lettuce and had a creamy hot sauce dressing that was ahmazing. When I transferred them they fell apart a bit but I think next time I would drain them better and they would stick more.
It’s nothing fancy but for low cost and low effort you can transform a cold can of tuna into something slightly appealing :p
